Speech-Language Pathologist

Everyone has incredible strengths - they just need the right tools to unlock their gifts.

I'm a speech-language pathologist committed to helping children, teens, and adults with speech, language, and reading challenges. I believe in providing individualized and compassionate treatment to create confidence and success. My work focuses on evidence-based methods and I work hard to keep my skills up-to-date through a variety of continuing education courses.

With over 15 years of experience, I’ve seen the difference speech, language, and reading therapy can make.

When I’m not at work, you can find me spending time with my friends and family, listening to a podcast, or reading a good mystery.

When your child is losing confidence, all you want is to get to root of the problem.

qualifications

I earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas and have been practicing as an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist since 2008. Before opening my private practice in 2020, I spent over 11 years in early childhood intervention, schools, and clinics working with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to my expertise in speech, language, and literacy, I have extensive experience and training in supporting students with attention and sensory needs, executive functions deficits, and social communication challenges.

I have received intensive training and coursework in the reading instruction methods known as structured literacy or the science of reading. These research-based methods have been proven highly effective for all children and adults, but especially those with learning disabilities, including dyslexia. I am certified as a Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), which is an affiliate of the International Dyslexia Association.

I am also a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), the Colorado Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA), and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
