My Process

Every child deserves to reach their potential so they can show the world how amazing they can be.

Don’t wait to get the answers you need.

Contact me to schedule a free initial phone consultation.

After we talk about your concerns and I answer your questions, we can schedule an evaluation based on your current needs.

Evaluations are individualized and thorough so goals will target only the areas your child needs most.

My assessment process includes:

  • A review of records. If you have had an evaluation within the last 6 months, I may be able to use some or all of those results to plan therapy.

  • An individualized evaluation. I use a combination of standardized tests, observations, and non-standardized (informal) measures to determine strengths and weaknesses.

  • A written report will include my findings, recommendations for school support and accommodations, as well as a treatment plan.

  • A meeting to review the results and recommendations within 2 weeks of the last evaluation date. I will answer all of your questions and discuss what therapy will look like.

  • Treatment goals. Goals are designed to support your child’s greatest needs and will be discussed with you before starting therapy.

Therapy is engaging and fun so your child feels confident and excited to learn.

  • Positive, strengths-based approach. Students are made to feel successful right away so that they will be motivated to participate.

  • In-person or online. You can choose to come to my office or do virtual sessions — or a combination of the two, depending on the need.  For online therapy, I use a HIPAA compliant, secure platform, and keep therapy as fun and engaging as it is in-person.

I offer collaboration and support beyond the therapy session.

  • Professional collaboration. Teamwork is vital. I work tirelessly to coordinate care with other therapists and doctors.

  • Advocacy. I’m available to attend school meetings by phone or in person in order to advocate for your child.

  • Parent support. You may also want to meet with me, without the student present, to help you gain greater insight into treatment strategies and progress.

I monitor progress along the way to ensure that goals are being met.

  • Progress monitoring. Every student is different — some need as little as 6 months to meet their goals and others need ongoing support to remain successful as demands increase or change.

  • Formal re-evaluation. I formally re-evaluate every 12 months to determine progress and treatment needs.

  • Ongoing support. Even after treatment ends, I will be available to answer your questions or help connect you with additional resources.

I understand how overwhelming this process can feel and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Payment and Insurance

I am considered an out-of-network provider and accept payments at the time of service by cash, check, or credit card. I will provide you with statements that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I do not bill insurance providers on behalf of my clients.
